Drive to Portland and Visit in Portland

We left Sacramento to head for Oregon. On our way, we did a little sight seeing. My sister, Patsy, suggested that we visit the Sundial Bridge so we did. It is a bridge that has a structure that has a shadow that shows the time of day. It was pretty impressive. We got out of the car and walked across it. It was a little scary because the floor was made of glass so you could see the river below. It was, however, worth the walk.

For a lot of the trip we had a view of Mt. Shasta. It was magnificent to see.
We ate at a restaurant that had this view of Mt. Shasta.

While I checked out the stores, Bob went in search of information about the lore surrounding Mt. Shasta. Supposedly there are "alien" type people who have made their home in the mountain with a labyrinth of tunnels. He did have interesting conversations with a couple of people in the area, but I just enjoyed the beauty.
One reason to go to Oregon was to go to Portland to visit my sister's son, James. It is always fun to visit with him. He is a web designer and a musician and plays in a band called the Caps. Here he is inside the house where he lives.
Here is the house, which has now been sold.
Cute For Sale sign.
Last I knew, he and Anna, his significant other, were planning to buy this condo which is located in a nice, fun area of Portland. We parked here and walked to Mississippi St. or Ave., an upbeat area with neat shops and restaurants, and we ate at a neat Thai restaurant.
Later, we met Anna, at a neat cafe where she performed with her violin.
Eating a dessert that was offered to us and sipping my Triple Sec liquor drink while waiting for Anna's performance. Another group played before her so we enjoyed listening to them too.
She played her violin and played some of my favorite type of music, ethnic folk music. I was very impressed with her and her talent.

Don't they look cute together?
