Our first visit on our June trip was with my Aunt Rosemary in Amarillo, TX. She is my father's sister and his only living sibling. It was a short visit because she was recovering from a slight stroke. She is taking speech therapy and is progressing well. It was frustrating for her to want to say some things but not being able to find the right words, but I think we communicated well. She celebrated her 97th birthday later in the month. She still lives at home with outside help coming certain times of the day to support her being able to stay there. It's always special for us to be able to visit my Aunt Rosemary.
