Boating With Stacy and Boys

You've heard of "happy campers." Well a "happy boater" is one whose boat starts up first time after having been stored all winter. Unbelievably that's what our boat did when we spent a boating day at Twin Lakes with Bob's daughter, Stacy, and her two boys, Dane and Brett. I think Stacy and the boys must have been good luck. Maybe it would be a good idea to start out every boat season with them. It was a beautiful day, and everything mostly went smoothly. We'll forget the part where the boat did stall and Bob had to get into the motor to get it going again. After that we just boated around Twin Lakes. Dane had fun riding on the tube and was ready for more even though the boat wasn't ready for more. Unfortunately, the tube didn't work so well for Brett even with mom out there with him. I think we have to fill up the tube with air more so it doesn't soak up water so much and weigh it down. All in all it was a great time. Hope to do it again.

Here's grandpa pulling Dane on the tube. Fun!!!

Here are Stacy and Brett watching Dane have fun.

Brett said he had fun too. He liked dangling his feet in the water while sitting on the ladder on the back.
Enjoying the ride.
We stopped at the little cafe on the lake for some ice cream. Now we're ready to go again.
