My good friend's granddaughter, Jessica, got married June 8 to Ben. I have known Jessica since she was a little tyke so it was nice to see her happy at her wedding. They had an Irish Green theme. I didn't take any pictures of the wedding, but I found out you can have an outdoor wedding in the rain with lots of umbrellas. Jessica's attendants, however, braved the wedding rain with no umbrellas or overhead covering. Did they get wet? Yes, but they were all still very beautiful.
The reception was at the fairgrounds in Boone. Here is another one of Pat's granddaughers, Kiani, who was inviting people to sign the guest book.

Pat's sister, Susan, and her husband, Brian, who came from Columbia, MO. Susan and I took violin lessons in Boone with the same instructor, Conrad Schultz. She decided to change instruments to the guitar.

This is a very good friend of Pat's whose car got stuck at the wedding site, and whose car was damaged when someone tried to pull her car out so it had to be towed. She looked way too happy here.
So I told her to show us how she really felt. At least she got to come to the reception for a short time before her husband, who had come to rescue her, was ready to head for home.
There was a small cake on top of the tiers of cupcakes. Here they are cutting the small cake.
Mmmmm good.
But the green icing left us with green tongues so Chris and Pat showed off their tongues.
