Family Adventureland and Buddy Run Memorial Event

Sunday, Aug. 5, we met Bob's kids and their families for a fun filled day at the Adventureland Amusement Park and Water Park in Des Moines, IA.  Before we started, we took our Buddy Run picture.  One of Bob's daughter's, Stacy, actually ran Sat. to coincide with the actual run in Texas so that was appreciated.  We enjoyed our time together and figured all the walking we did at the park would count for our virtual walk for Buddy, loosely speaking.  The important thing is that he was in our thoughts.

Bumper cars.

Animal show.

The four grandchildren, from left to right, Brett, Reagan, Drew, and Dane.  I don't know who the girl is on the far right.

Brett, one of our grandsons, was picked to be the audience participant for this part of the act.

The guy pulled out that long "tree trunk" out of the small green bag.  Amazing.

The circus acts.

The water park.  Not too many pictures, but we were there about 3 hours.

Cotton candy is always a nice way to end the day.

Dane enjoyed the arcade just before we left.  Ready, aim, fire.

We had a great time.  Thanks to everyone for a wonderful Father's Day gift.
