Visit With Ohio Relatives and Sand Reunion

Bob and I made a trip to Ohio to visit some of Bob's relatives and to attend the Sand Reunion.  Bob's mother was a Sand.  We also made a trip to Bucyrus, Bob's home town, where we visited relatives there too.  We also visited Sandusky on Lake Erie to visit Bob's Aunt Ruth and her son, Mike, his wife, Mickey, and their son, Michael.   We had very nice visits with everyone.

The town of Bucyrus has a couple of really nice murals.  This is one of them.

Picture of Bob's father.

We visited some of Bob's cousins, Richard and Winnie, But I forgot to take pictures.  They are in their 90's and still going strong.  We always enjoy visiting with them.  They are on Bob's mother's side.

These are some more of Bob's cousins in Bucyrus, Barb and Marlin.  We always enjoy visiting with them too.  These are relatives on Bob's father's side.

This is a favorite store of Bob's.  You can buy candy, pies, and specialty items.  I think it brings back memories for Bob.

This is  Bob's Aunt Ruth,  Bob's mother's sister.  We had a very nice visit.  Actually we visited her twice.  That's an easy thing to do since she's such a pleasant aunt.

We went out to  Ruth's son's, Mike's, place to visit him and his wife, Mickey.

Bob did magic tricks for Mike and Michael, Mike's son.  They seemed to enjoy it.

Ruth, Mickey, and I enjoyed the fire in the fire pit, swinging on the swing, and good conversation.

We also attended the Sand Reunion and got reacquainted with all the Sand relatives that we have met over the last couple of years.

Judy Norris, a cousin,  and Ruth Mapus, our aunt.

Mickey and Mike, Bob's cousins.  Judy and Ruth visiting.

Judy Norris's daughter, Angie.  We met her at Judy's when we went to  Judy's and took her out to lunch the day before the reunion.

Aunt Ruth with a cousin, Ray Sand, a very nice, entertaining man.

We camped a couple of nights at this place.  I happened to take one of their cards.  Then at the reunion they were thinking about having the reunion at this place next year so I gave them the card so they could get in touch with them.  It was a nice place, a little more rustic, and we made connections with the people who are the caretakers.

It's fun to keep updated with family.
