Northport's Quaint Downtown and Train Depot

My brother in law, Buddy, for many years, has had a hobby of model trains. He used to have model trains set up in a room in his house, but he converted that room into a really nice workshop, which he uses for his other hobby of woodworking, etc. Anyway, he and some other enthusiasts have opened up this model train exhibit in the train depot in Northport, kind of an area of Tuscaloosa. It is very impressive.

The depot building they renovated for the model train exhibit.
Some views of the exhibit. Buddy and his friends have put in a lot of work and effort to make it look nice.

Buddy built this, as well as lots of other buildings and areas.

Buddy and Kathy inside the caboose that is on the grounds too.

After visiting the Train Depot, we walked to the downtown area of Northport.

Kathy bought a kaleidoscope at this toy shop and I bought a swan figurine at the 5 and 10 cent store across the street.

Bob enjoys visiting barber shops.
There was a big red dog on top of a building that is a landmark around here.

The artsy area had some pretty interesting things.

It was a fun day.
