Fiesta Friday

Fiesta week in San Antonio is a big, 10 day event, and on the Friday of one of the big parades, schools have a scheduled day off. To celebrate we first  went to Erin's to pick up an ice chest so we could empty out Susie's old refrigerator to get ready for her new one.  See refrigerator picture later.

For Christmas, Susie gave  Amy, JR, and Max the gift of a season's pass to the San Antonio Zoo so we took a trek to the zoo to get the pass.  While we were there we rode the train that travels around the park where the zoo is located.  It was a little nostalgic for me because the train was always something I loved to do as a child.  I still enjoy it.  Here we are enjoying the train, even though Max was holding on to Amy the whole time.

Then we went to Gruene, and JR joined us for that.  Gruene is a quaint, German town near San Antonio.  They have neat shops and a neat place to eat.  We mainly went to eat there.  Oh and to take pictures.
