We continued our fall road trip by picking up our two grandsons, Dane and Brett, after school, to take them hiking at Dolliver State Park, a park near Ft. Dodge, IA. The weather was glorious, the colors were magnificent, and our being together enjoying the park was priceless.

Fall Colors in Storm Lake, IA
The next day we took a road trip to further enjoy the fall colors in IA. Storm Lake is a town about 1 1/2 hrs. away. One of the areas by the lake there is this living heritage tree museum. These are trees with stories. I wasn't going to put all the pictures, but their stories are way too interesting. Take time to read them. You'll be amazed.
Read the plaque then go to the next picture to see the tree that goes with it
Take a break and enjoy these general views.
Here are some more plaques.
Another break for general views.
More plaques.
Hope you enjoyed this beautiful tour.
