New England Cruise Day 4 (Cruising) and Day 5 (St. John, New Brunswick)Day 6 (Bar Harbor, ME)

One morning they had a fund raiser for Make a Wish so we all joined in and sort of walked the event in memory of Buddy too.  We didn't get to do that in Aug. so we took advantage of us all being together.  We walked a mile on the deck with the marked track.

We played a game of listening to music and naming the song and the singer.  If you got it right first you got a key chain.  They handed out a lot of those key chains throughout the cruise.  In this game, if you got 4 key chains, you could come up to win a cap.

Patsy won a cap.  Yea!!!!!

Patsy said she owed her success to this man because he helped her with one of the answers and let her have the key chain.

Even though it was sprinkling, we had to play some mini golf.  We didn't bother to keep score, just had fun.

Art you see on the elevator.

Here's Nancy playing BINGO since she won it at the finish the lyric contest.

She and another lady were tied to win a free Caribbean cruise.  Did she win?

Her smile tells it all.  She did win a 7 DAY CRUISE TO THE CARIBBEAN FOR 2.  She gets to take her husband, Eric.  Yea!!!!!!  She was the star queen on the ship.  We made sure everyone knew she was the winner.  Some people recognized her and said, "You're the one who won the free cruise!!!"  She became very well known.

Nancy with the staff who congratulated her on her win.

Getting the first info for the free cruise.  She got more details later.

This was her winning BINGO board.

We got another towel folding aardvark or dinosaur.  Cute whatever it is.

 A little dancing.

Hanging out and waiting for karaoke night.   We loved Karaoke night.

The next morning we met up to team up for word search competition.  We won first place.  We're so smart. We got medals and wallets for important documents.

Then we got off the ship at St. John to see the sights.

We hopped a tour bus which took us cross country to a small resort town to see how the waters of the Bay of Fundy recede so drastically.  We also saw a little bit of fall colors, but it really was a little too early for fall colors.  Too bad.

When the tide goes in and out here, the water actually flows backwards.  We saw it when we returned, but I didn't get a picture of it.

This is what the fall colors should look like.

This is the town we visited, St. Andrews.

You can tell the tide is out.  Major difference.

The pier.  When the tide is out, you can almost walk over to Maine.

Here you can tell the tide is out too.

For the evening entertainment, there was a Karaoke Contest.  Gary and Nancy competed.  They loved Nancy.

They really enjoyed Gary's song.  I forgot what he sang, but they  loved it.

Guess who went to the finals?  Yep.  Nancy.  She's so talented and did such a great job.

Sister support.

Schmoozing one of the judges.  He was impressed.

The three finalists.  They were all three tremendous and I thought it should have been a tie, but......

The two finalists, Nancy and Dave, our new karaoke friend.

She got second place, but WOW, she was great, but so was Dave, who was the winner.  He is quite a performer, in fact he does it for a living.  So there was major competition.

The next day we were in Bar Harbor, ME.  We used a tender boat, a small boat that takes you to shore from the ship.  It went smoothly.

While in Bar Harbor, we shared the most delicious blueberry pie.  MMmmmmm.  Good!!!!!

We took another tour bus to Acadia National Park and to Cadillac Mountain to get some wonderful views.

The theme for the evening activities was 70's music.  It was a lot of fun.

The 70's Party.  Crazy.

YMCA guys performing in the elevator.

Showing off their glowing rings they got at the 70's party.  They show up better in dimmer light and in person.

Friends, Ryan and Athena, we made on the cruise.

The towel monkey was hanging out in our stateroom.  Another cute towel animal.
