McNay Art Museum

Today we visited the McNay Art Museum. One of our first visits was to use their unique washroom. These are pictures of the artistic wash bowls. It was all mirrors and glass. The bottom glass was at an angle to the mirror and the drain was where the tilted glass and the mirror came together. Neat.

The museum used to be the estate of Mrs. McNay, who loved art and who procurred many collections which, after her death, became the museum. We decided we could live there.

The main fountain on outside grounds of the estate.

Pictures of the inner courtyard.

An area inside the mansion. I didn't take any pictures of the art because they did post signs asking you not to do any photography.

Gardens on the outside grounds. It was very nice and peaceful here.

When we were finished at the museum we were quite hungry so we stopped at a restaurant called E Z's. It's kind of a 50's place. We sat outside to enjoy the weather which was in the 80's.
The food was very good too.
