Family Reunion Cleveland, OH Nov. 2010

All of my siblings and I decided to have a family reunion in Cleveland, OH where my sister, Nancy, now lives. It all started when my sister, Susie, decided to go there for a visit and to see a Brown's game. The Brown's now have a Texas player, Colt Mc Coy, as a Rookie player. Then slowly but surely we all decided to meet there too, and voila, a family reunion.

Bob and I arrived first because we drove there.

This is the elevator we took up to our 2 bedroom apt. in Nancy's building where she lives.

This is the hallway leading to our apt.

This is the apt. where my brother and his wife shared with us.

Bob and I picked up Gary and Rosemary and Patsy at the Cleveland Hopkins Airport. For those who may not know our family name is Hopkins, thus the picture.

Then my sister, Nancy, went to the airport to pick up Kathy and Susie. Then the greetings began in Nancy's apt. Here are Nancy and Patsy.

Here's Kathy.

Nancy and Susie.
Everyone else but me.

Nancy conferring with Eric, Bob in the background, Susie milling around.

Eric wondering what Kathy's doing.

The first night we walked to City Center which used to be the train station, but now it's a mall. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe.

When we got back we decided to exchange our Christmas gifts. Gary got an Alabama shirt. Doesn't he look handsome?

Susie was very excited to get a McCoy T shirt from Nancy.

Here we all are modeling very nice warm scarves from Susie. They did keep us warm on the chillier days.

Patsy brought us gifts from Paris.

Family bracelets and jewelry from Gary and Rosemary for all of us too.
Kathy gave us all sister T shirts. Nice sentiment printed on them.

I gave everyone a family tree quilt with pockets for pictures.

The first day we walked to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but on the way we passed the Football stadium. My sister lives downtown so a lot of the sights are within walking distance. We also passed this tribute to fire fighters.

That night, in keeping with a music theme, we did Karaoke.

The next day we went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We had to drive about an hour to get there. It was very interesting. I'm not much of a Pro Football person, but evidentally a lot of my family are.

That night we ate at a quaint Taco Place. We had hoped to eat at another place, but this one was well suited for us. We all love Mexican Food.
I guess this was a tough day for Kathy. But she did recuperate.

Sunday was the day of the Brown's football game. To start the day off we ate brunch across the street from Nancy's apt. WG could stand for Walter Garrison which is our family name, the name of my grandfather, father, brother, and nephew. Good food and good company.

Patsy.

Nancy. Cheers. Olives for her Bloody Mary. MMMMM good.

Susie so excited to get to go to see Mc Coy play the Browns.

Ready for the game.

Dressed warmly for the game. And it did work.

Nancy's flair for the game.
While they went to the game, Kathy and Patsy went shopping. Gary, Rosemary, Bob, and I traveled to Kirtland where there is a Mormon Settlement and Temple. Here are some pictures.

The main general store where a lot of Mormons found refuge, supplies, and revelations.

Supplies for the needy.

The Mill.

Monday we went to the Bodies Exhibit. It was very interesting.

Then we all went to the Science Museum. They are always very entertaining.

Here is my infrared image from the science museum.
Here we are so happy that we were able to take time to share this time together.
