Visit with Aunt Rosemary

On our way back from San Antonio to Iowa we decided to make a trip to Amarillo to visit my 95 year old Aunt Rosemary. She turns 96 June 25. She is my father's sister and the only living sibling of the family. She still lives at home, is still quite sharp, and gets around very well.

She has led quite a life, and it is very interesting to hear all her stories. Some stories are family stories, but some stories are historical as well. For instance she was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII. She took her toddlers to Seattle where she worked on the airplanes for the war effort. She has also lived on a ranch, been a long time book keeper/accountant, and has raised a fine family.

We always enjoy our visits with Aunt Rosemary, and we were so glad to finally be able to visit with Jimmie and his wife, Nancy.

Here she is with Jimmie, one of her sons who still lives in Amarillo. He works for the DNR. We had a really nice visit with him and his wife, Nancy also.

Jimmie. He resembles our cousin Bill in CO. He doesn't think so, but I do.

Bob and Jimmie talking wrestling. Hhmmmm. I guess my grandpa Hopkins used to like wrestling too.

Rosie the Riveter T-shirt. These are pictures of her pictures.

Aunt Rosemary has taken a liking to Bob. Here they are.
