Visit With My Good Friend Chris

Before staying home in Sioux Center, we had made plans to visit my good friend, Chris, in Mason City so that's what we did. And boy, am I glad we did. She had a feast waiting for us. She is such a good cook, and we tried to be good guests and eat as much as we could. Chris is the best hostess.

After eating we played Mah Jong. Chris plays that frequently with her local friends, but now I know how to play too. We played till about 1:00 am, and then we talked till about 3:00. Of course Bob went to bed a lot earlier than that.

Sun. we slept in. Then we took Chris out to eat. Then we took a nice walk along the river all the way to the mall. Then we came back, watched a movie, and then we played a card game called Golf. Fun.

Mon. morning we walked to the Bagel place, ate breakfast, and chatted for about 3 hours. Then we walked back to her place where we had to say good-bye.

The feast. Roast pork, new potatoes, creamed carrots, corn casserole, broccoli salad, spinach and strawberry salad, and biscuits. MMMmmmmm good. Thanks, Chris.

We decided to take some flowers to Chris. I know she loves flowers and this bouquet just looked like her. It reminded me of the colors of all her teacups she had displayed.
